Effective 21 August 2026 · Draft for legal review before public launch
1. Who we are
xZamin is an assessment and digital-course marketplace operated by Sofenx. Students discover assessments and courses, while organizations create versioned learning content, review responses, and manage participants.
2. Information we collect
We collect account information such as name and email address; organization and role information; assessment answers, scores, timing, feedback, and activity; course enrollments, version-specific lesson progress, and certificate records; marketplace orders and payment-provider references; support messages; device, security, and diagnostic information; and uploaded files. Payment card credentials are handled by the selected payment provider and are not stored by xZamin.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide accounts and assessments, grant purchased access, score and report results, communicate service and security information, prevent abuse, provide support, operate the marketplace, comply with lawful obligations, and improve reliability. Promotional email is sent only when the recipient has opted in.
4. Organizations and assessment data
An organization controls the assessments it creates and can access participant enrollment, answers, scores, and related reports for those assessments. Students should contact the relevant organization about assessment content or grading and may contact xZamin about platform privacy or access issues.
5. AI-assisted assessments
Subscribed organizations may use an AI service provider to generate draft questions from creator-provided topics and resources and to evaluate written answers against an approved rubric. Relevant source material, question text, rubric, and answer text may be sent to that provider. We minimize personal identifiers, retain model and grading audit records, mark AI-assisted grading, and send uncertain results for human review. Organizations remain responsible for reviewing generated content and grading decisions.
6. Sharing and processors
We share only what is necessary with hosting, AI, email, storage, monitoring, and payment providers; with the organization providing an assessment; and with authorities or professional advisers when legally required or needed to protect users and the service. We do not sell personal information.
7. Retention and security
We retain account, assessment, transaction, moderation, AI-generation and grading, and audit records for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, meet contractual or legal duties, and protect marketplace integrity. We use access controls, encryption in transit, backups, logging, and security monitoring, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and requests
You can update account information and notification preferences in xZamin. You may request access, correction, export, restriction, or deletion where applicable. Some records, including financial, security, assessment-integrity, and dispute records, may need to be retained. Submit a request through the support page.
9. International processing and children
Service providers may process information in countries different from yours. Organizations must ensure they have appropriate authority and consent before assigning assessments to minors or uploading participant information.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy and will publish the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the application or by email. Contact privacy@xmplace.shop or use the support page.
